His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with committee heads from the Global Agenda Summit at Madinat Jumeirah yesterday. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince was present.
Sheikh Mohammed said UAE will continue to host regional and international gatherings, which serve sustainable development. Later yesterday, Sheikh Mohammed left for Britain for an official visit.
He was accompanied by Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum; Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed Al Gergawi; Director of Dubai Ruler's Court Mohammed Al Shebani and Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer.
Sheikh Mohammed is due to meet Queen Elizabeth II and Prime Minister Gordon Brown to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral relations between the UAE and the UK.
Earlier yesterday, Sheikh Mohammed inaugurated an art exhibition in Dubai named in his honour, organised by the Ministry of Culture to mark the 38th UAE National Day.
