Emirates said yesterday it would deploy Airbus A380 on the Paris route from December 29, 2009, one month earlier than planned.
The airline had previously said that the superjumbo would be put in service to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport from February 1, 2010. "But an operational review, coupled with demand on the route, has led to an earlier introduction," the airline said in a statement.
The airline would be operating double daily flights on the route, and that while it will initially service three of the morning departures from Dubai, it would become a daily service from January 17.
"Our forward carryings out of France are extremely strong. Coupled with the early aircraft availability, we can provide passengers with the experience of flying this aircraft between Dubai and Paris much sooner than anticipated," Salem Obaidalla, Emirates' Senior Vice-President, Commercial Operations, Europe & Russian Federation, said in a statement.
