How does Bitnation work?
Bitnation uses a peer-to-peer voluntary governance system called Pangea. This system replaces the arbitrariness of birth as the decider of one’s citizenship. Bitnation uses this system to host blockchain marriages, birth certificates, and more.
Pangea acts as a decentralized market for legal services. Users can create peer-to-peer agreements and resolve disputes. On Pangea, users can also create their own Decentralised Borderless Voluntary Nation (DBVN). They can choose their own Code of Law and Decision Making Mechanism. Pangea is a secure mesh network that forms a distributed web. It runs on smart contracts on the blockchain built on Ethereum.
Pangea Arbitration Token (XPAT)
Transactions within Pangea take place in Pangea Arbitration Tokens (XPAT). These tokens are ERC20 compatible. The tokens reward users with a good reputation. Pangea citizens can earn XPAT tokens but not trade them. They can earn them by creating, completing, or resolving disputes with contracts.
